We take great pride in reporting that Nuss has been awarded a Gold certification by Ecovadis, the leading Sustainability Assessment organisation, for our efforts and achievements in the development and implementation of our sustainability program.
Nuss Relocations has been committed to all principles of sustainability and CSR for many years and so we were very excited when we received this recognition.
This rating places us in the top 5% of all companies assessed by Ecovadis, an achievement that we are particularly proud of.
But that’s not the end of it….in fact its really just the beginning. We will be using this achievement as the basis for our planning to move forward as we continue our sustainability journey.
Every day we learn something new about what sustainability means, what we can do to improve our environment and how we can work hand in hand with our staff, our clients and our supply chain in addressing the global issues that we all face.
Sustainability is not just about the environment though, although the environment is the most publicised and talked about aspect. Sustainability is more far reaching than that.
Reducing green house gas emissions and our carbon footprint a priority for us but we are also focussed on the other less well known and talked about aspects of Sustainability, including CSR, people, human rights and the betterment of living and working conditions for all impacted by our business, wherever they are in the world. This is why embracing Sustainability is so important as it encompasses so much about life now and for the future.
The United Nations have developed a program of goals, The UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). These have been established as a guide to help organisations achieve a more equal future, a better way of life for all and a safer more secure environment, especially for those who live in under privileged and even dangerous circumstances.
These goals target vitally important issues such as the elimination of poverty and hunger, to ensure everyone has a chance of education, gender equality, climate action, good health, peace and so much more. This is why Sustainability is a responsibility that we must all take on and do our bit.
So, as can be seen, we at Nuss take playing our part very seriously. We are all on this journey together and we are excited by the things that are now happening around the world in the cause of Sustainability.
We will continue the Nuss journey and promise to do what we can to make our world a better place for us all now and for generations to come.
